Job Description

We are looking for Senior Accounts Payable Accountant for our Finance Shared Service Center in Porto. These role is supporting the European business and processing accounts payable activities. Exciting times! We are still building up our team and hence we are able offer roles on different experience levels.

Responsibilities

The main tasks and responsibilities include the following
• Handling of processes in accounts payable;
• Receipt and audit of invoice;
• Enter, check and post invoices with and without purchase order;
• Payment of liabilities;
• Reconciliation of yet to be performed payments, execution of payment run and transfer to bank;
• Support in the preparation of financial statements (month, quarter, year);
• Execution of balance reconciliation, Accruals, etc…;
• Account maintenance;
• Processing of Travel & Expenses (T&E);
• Handling of consignment stock clearing process and invoice postings;
• Support intercompany AP reconciliation;
• Participation in project work;
• Handling external and internal queries via email / phone;
• Provide support related to annual and interim audits;
• Perform internal audit & regular controls.

Profile

Ideally you bring the following background:

▪ Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting, Finance or comparable

▪ Knowledge of IFRS and ideally good knowledge of accounting standards in European GAAPs

▪ Fluent English spoken and written (mandatory)

▪ Advanced Level of italian or french spoken and written 

▪ Experienced in working with ERP systems

▪ A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in finance and accounting in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a Shared Service Center

▪ Joy in working in a global environment
