BySide, the Lead Activation company, is seeking for a new member to join the Engineering Team.

BySide platform is directly integrated and used by several banks, some of the biggest world retailers, telecommunication companies and call centers around the globe. Managing Big Data in Real Time, BySide currently handles more than 1 million calls and 5 million voice minutes per month, providing services such as click2call, call tracking, inbound calls, IVRs, etc 

As a Data Engineer, you will work on a team that owns the services that support the scale of our business.

Responsibilities

• Modeling complex processes and scenarios into highly performant and scalable data applications;

• Collaborate with other software engineering teams, providing data engineering expertise and guidance in the design of data-backed software solutions;

• Contribute to the maintenance and development of our always growing data architecture;

• Tune queries serving both operational and analytics applications, both SQL and No-SQL;

• Support machine learning pipelines and tasks.

Profile

• Good knowledge about database management systems (both relational and non-relational) as well as their differences and suitableness for any given use case; 

• Good understanding of distributed systems;

• Experience with designing, implementing and maintaining data pipelines (batch and streaming);

• Experience developing/working with relational databases (MySQL is a plus) and No-SQL databases (Solr/ElasticSearch is a plus);

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience;

• Experience writing Java and PHP code is a plus;

• Experience working with cloud environments is a plus.
