Let's face it, buying and selling a car isn't easy. That's why at carwow, we're leading the mission to make it better, with our vision of helping our customers to be the most informed and empowered car buyers in the world. Since carwow’s inception, we’ve improved the car buying experience for hundreds of thousands of people, selling cars through our platform with a value over £10.3Bn.

We’re a highly driven (excuse the pun) scale-up with a team of circa 250 based in London, Munich and Madrid and are backed by some of Europe’s leading VCs & car manufacturer Daimler (Mercedes-Benz).

This year we're witnessing unprecedented growth across the business, due to the increasing trend towards online car buying, and as such we're looking for talented folk in Engineering, Product and Data to help us achieve our goals.

Our Engineering Team

• Throughout 2021 we aim to double the size of our Software Engineering team, ending the year on a headcount of 65+.

• Our Engineers are distributed across the UK, Spain, Germany and Portugal in a hybrid remote model and all contribute to the build of our core platform.

• We enjoy solving real world problems that positively benefit both the consumer and the business and never at the expense of each other.

• We advocate Agile ways of working, cross-functional autonomous teams and continuous collaboration.

• Our tech stack is primarily Ruby on Rails, Javascript and Elm and we have a set of guiding Engineering Principles that helps us maintain focus, keep it simple and deliver quickly.

• We're big on personal development; our career development framework helps our Engineers to navigate clearly, and successfully, through the various career stages at carwow.
